Tobi-Wir helfen!
Vor ein paar Wochen erreichte mich eine erschütternde E-Mail. Der kleine Tobias (8) geht in die 2.Klasse an einer Grundschule hier in Essen und ist an Leukämie erkrankt.
Man hört das immer wieder, aber dieses Schicksal berührte mich besonders. Denn auch mein Sohn wird 8 Jahre alt und ich wüßte nicht was ich tue, wenn wir in so eine Situation kommen würden.
Wir (mein Mann und ich) waren also heute an Tobis Schule und haben uns als Spender registrieren lassen. Ein kleiner Pieks und hoffentlich eine große Wirkung. Ich war tief betroffen und bewegt und kann der Schule und den Organisatoren nur ein großes Lob aussprechen.
Wir kamen so gegen 11,30 Uhr an der Schule an. Ein riesen Verkehrsaufkommen in einem kleinen Wohngebiet und eine Menge Bewegung. Auf dem Schulhof eine lange Schlange. Viele Eltern mit Kindern, alle festentschlossen und bereit zu helfen wo sie nur können. Die Stimmung war nicht zu beschreiben. Viele unbekannte Menschen, die sich miteinander unterhielten und sofort war das Gefühl einer großen Gemeinschaft da. Ein Mitarbeiter der DKMS (Deutsche Knochenmarksspenderdatei) ging an der Schlange vorbei, beantwortete Fragen, holte Familien mit kleinen Kindern aus der Reihe und lotste sie vorab an der Schlange vorbei. Die Eltern der Schule hatten Kuchen und Getränke gespendet an denen wir vorbeikamen und uns stärken konnten. Alle hatten ein strahlendes Lächeln und uns schlug eine Welle von Solidarität und Danbarkeit entgegen. Die Kinder der Schule verkauften kleine, sebstbefüllte und mit bunten Sonnenblumenbildern bemalte Tütchen mit Sonnenblumenkernen.” Eine Sonne für Tobi”. Eine Mutter verteilte Glückskekse unter den Wartenden.
Die Registrierung war ganz einfach. Unsere persönlichen Daten wurden erfaßt und Fragen zur Gesundheit wurden gestellt. Die ganze Turnhalle war voller Tische und unheimlich viele Helfer vor Ort. Wir bekamen ein Röhrchen und dann gings zur Blutabnahme. Wir wurden noch gefragt, ob wir auch Geld spenden wollen. Jede Registrierung kostet den DKMS 50,-€. Der junge Mann hat das Blutabnehmen hervorragend gemacht (bei mir nicht ganz einfach) und wir wurden zur nächsten Station weitergeleitet. Da bekamen wir einen vorläufigen Spenderausweis, Gummibärchen, eine Anstecknadel und ein herzliches Dankeschön. Am Ausgang drückte mir ein Mann (ich vermute Tobis Vater) einen persönlichen Dankeszettel in die Hand und ich konnte die Tränen nicht mehr zurückhalten.
Nach einer knappen Stunde waren wir zurück in unserer kleinen heilen Welt und ich war dankbar, dass die Schlange immer noch so lang war.
Ich habe noch nie in meinem Leben so viele Helfer gesehen, die mit so viel Eifer und Hingabe bei einer Sache waren. Alle haben selbstlos ihre Freizeit geopfert, hatten ein Lächeln und ein freundliches Wort und haben sich bei uns für unsere Hilfsbereitschaft bedankt. Ihr wart der Wahnsinn!
Ich hoffe sehr, dass Tobi und noch vielen anderen Menschen durch diese Aktion geholfen werden kann!!!!
